Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit paid.
Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable and the full booking amount will be retained.
All cancellations must be submitted via email or text. We do not accept cancellations via phone or social media.
By confirming a booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy above.
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen changes to your plans.
1, Arrivals must report to the campsite owner before pitching and pay any outstanding fees.
2, For fire and safety reasons, tents, trailer tents, caravans and motor homes must be pitched so that the outside edge is no closer than 3 metres from adjacentunits.
3, Dogs must be kept under control at all times and always be on a lead whilst on the farm.
4, There are many opportunities for play and adventure at Bent Rigg Farm Campsite, however, the farm is a working livestock farm and as such, farming activities do take place with large agricultural machinery and farm animals that may not be as friendly as you think. No entry permitted in animal pens or farm buildings. These risks should be self evident - but if not clear, please ask! Bent Rigg Farm Campsite accepts no responsibility for injury or illness incurred on site. Hand washing facilities are available. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on site at all times.
5, Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times and theremust be no noise or vehicle movement between 10pm and 7.30am.
6, Generators and amplified music are not permitted.
7, Campfires are to be lit in designated fire pits only, no ground fires allowed. Campfires are not to be left unattended and must always be supervised by a responsible adult. You can hire a fire pit from our farm shop for £5 and a £10 refundable deposit.
8, If any behaviour is deemed to be a nuisance to other campers and does not cease, the person will be asked to leave the site and no refund will be given.
9, You must vacate your pitch by 11 am. If you have hired a fire pit, please return it to the camp shop before you leave.
10, Please make sure you dispose of all rubbish in the designated bins. The green bin is for general household waste. Hot ashes or disposable BBQ's to be placed in the metal bin provided. . The blue bin is for recyclable items only - Cardboard, paper, glass, plastic bottles and drink cans. No plastic bags.
11, Please note there must be at least one 18 year old as part of the booking, see separate policy for further details.
1, Purpose
This policy establishes the minimum age requirements for making and holding a campsite booking to ensure the safety, security, and the appropriate use of the campsite facilities.
2, Scope
This policy applies to all individuals and groups making a booking to stay at Bent Rigg Farm Campsite, including but not limited to online, telephone, and in-person reservations.
3, Policy Statement
At least one individual aged 18 years or over must be named on every booking.
The named adult must be present and staying on the campsite form the entire duration of the booking.
Bookings that do not meet this requirement will be refused or cancelled.
4, Responsibilities
Booking holder (Adult 18+):Responsible for the conduct,safety,and supervision of all members of their booking party.
Campsite Management: responsible for verifying compliance with this policy at the time of booking and upon guest arrival.
5, Proof of Age
Campsite staff reserve the right to request valid photo identification (passport,drivers licence, national I.D card or equivalent) to confirm the age of the booking holder.
Failure to provide acceptable proof of age may result in refusal of entryand cancellation of the booking without refund.
6, Enforcement
Any booking found in violation of this policy will be cancelled.
Guests attempting to circumvent the policy may be refused future bookings at Bent Rigg Farm Campsite.
7,Exceptions
No exceptions to be granted to this policy.

This policy will be reviewed annually by campsite management to ensure it remain fair, effective ,and aligned with legal requirements.
